The Southwest Montana Arts Council (SMAC) advocates, nurtures, and celebrates the arts and humanities in Southwest Montana. We promote education and participation in the arts, with a particular emphasis on the needs of children throughout our region.

ArtSpace is a collaborative project of SMAC and Tendoy Fine Art Gallery. In the ArtSpace classroom, we offer a variety of creative classes and events for both adults and children. We aim to provide the highest quality creative instruction, regardless of the age or skill level of the student.

We're committed to offering a limited number of full-scholarship spots in each after-school session for students whose parents or caregivers are experiencing financial hardship. Please email us at dillonartspace@gmail.com for more details and scholarship availability.

Unless otherwise noted, our classes will take place at 120 N. Montana St., in the classroom between Tendoy and SMAC.

In the case of cancellations prior to the class start, the following refund policy will apply:

7 or more days before class start date: 100% refund of registration fee.

Fewer than 7 days before class start date: No refund is allotted.

We welcome rural schools, homeschool families, and other groups of school-aged kids to visit ArtSpace for a class with our gifted art instructors. We currently offer visits at $75 per one-hour visit, or $100 for two scheduled school visits within the same semester. Cost includes all materials and instruction from a qualified instructor. Individual visits can be tailored as needed; we'll connect with you before the visit to come up with a lesson and instructor that works best for the needs of you and your students.

Interested in teaching a class through ArtSpace? Please let us a know what you have in mind, and we'll be in touch. We prefer to host classes that are in line with our shared mission of providing creative programming to Dillon and surrounding communities.

Classroom use is free for SMAC and Tendoy board members (pending calendar availability), and is available to non-board members with a SMAC membership. Email dillonartspace@gmail.com for more information on membership.
